McKenos Livestock Breeding focusses mostly on Boer Goats and Bosvelder Sheeps, with the goal of producing a sustainable animal with exceptional genetics.

We are proud of our unique and beneficial animal breeding programs including selected goats and sheep due to their remarkable meat yield, high conception rate, rapid growth, and adaptation to a variety of climate conditions. The selected breeds are less susceptible to internal parasite infestation, and their hardiness and ability to feed on a variety of plants and grasses make them essential in combating bush encroachment.

We have also collaborated with multiple small-scale and commercial livestock farmers in Limpopo Province’s Vhembe Region to launch livestock trade and auctions in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, Mollevel – Makgwakgwa, and the Farmer’s Cooperative Limited (Formerly the BKB). This collaboration will enable farmers from varied organisations network, share ideas, prevent livestock theft, agricultural financial support, and veterinary assistance in combating animal diseases.
